The whole point of Proposify is to help you save time, increase efficiency, and close deals faster. It’s what gets us up in the morning and, sometimes, keeps us up at night.
What got us excited this morning is the launch of our newest feature: Proposify Automations. This powerful tool lets you eliminate time-wasting, unnecessarily manual tasks to create slick, automated workflows that are customized to your business needs and process.
By connecting Proposify with hundreds of third-party applications — from CRMs to communication tools — Automations gives you the control to create a more streamlined and collaborative sales process.
Automations Make Your Life, and Sales, Easier
A good sales team is an efficient sales team. They know that every wasted minute saved from tedious manual tasks is a valued-filled minute spent on building relationships and closing deals. But the reality is that many businesses still find themselves juggling repetitive administrative tasks like sending notifications, generating sales documents, or pulling data between platforms.
With Proposify Automations, you can eliminate the manual work and get back to what matters most: selling.
With Automations, you can create automated workflows right within Proposify itself without needing to rely on paid external tools like Zapier, or without writing custom software using our API.
You can create automations that work within Proposify itself. Here are some use cases:
- Generate a contract after a proposal is set to the won status
- Generate a renewal contract one year after the original contract was signed
- Trigger a notification if a document hasn't been viewed after 7 days
- Notify if a prospect tries to access an expired document
These automations can include talking to third party applications. We integrate with a growing library of hundreds of connections. Automations can complement our existing third party integrations.
In Proposify Automations, third party application connections are called components. Here are just a few of the components we now connect with:
- CRM: HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Monday, Microsoft Dynamics, Pipedrive
- Communications: Slack, Teams, Postmark, Sendgrid, Twilio, Zoom
- Productivity: Open AI (ChatGPT), Notion, Sharepoint, Asana, Calendly, Confluence, ClickUp, Gmail, Google Sheets, Excel, Jira, Outlook
- ERP: Netsuite, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Sage Intacct
- Invoicing: Sage Accounting, Quickbooks, Xero
- Ecommerce: Shopify, WuCommerce, Square
- File Storage: Dropbox, Box, Google Drive,
- Customer Support: Intercom, Zendesk,
- Business Intelligence: Microsoft Power BI, Google Analytics, Tableu, Gong
Got a tool in your tech stack you’d love an automation for? Let us know!
*Note: Automations will eventually replace our existing integration with each tool - when that time comes you will need to reconnect to your third party application through Automations. Until then, you can continue to use your existing integration and augment it with Automations.

How Proposify Automations Work
Proposify Automations offers both pre-built workflows and custom workflow building capabilities, making it simple to get started.
Choose Pre-Built Automations
We’ve added some ready-made automations to help you hit the ground running. Head to your Proposify account, click on Integrations, and then go to the Automations tab. From there, you’ll see pre-made automations for tools like:
- Slack: Automatically notify your team when a proposal is opened or signed.
- Microsoft Teams: Keep everyone in the loop with instant proposal updates.
- Microsoft Dynamics: Generate proposals directly from opportunities in your CRM.
- Dropbox, Google Drive, Box: Move a PDF copy of your signed proposal to your file sharing service.
We’ll be adding more pre-built automations in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
Create Custom Automations using Workflow Builder
Unlike with standard third-party integrations, Automations puts you in control, allowing you to configure how automations work to suit your own workflow. You can create branches based on conditional logic, so that actions only happen when you want them to.
The Workflow Builder is an intuitive, visual tool allows you to connect Proposify with the applications in your tech stack you already use, tailoring your automations to your specific business needs and process. If you’ve used Zapier before, this is similar, but you don’t need to use another third party tool just to connect Proposify with other apps.
When you click New Integration it will bring up a dialog box. Choose from a growing list of automation templates (not to be confused with proposal templates) to limit the complexity of building one yourself, or choose Quickstart if you want full control.
We’ve also prepared support documentation and videos to help you along the way. And as always, our support team is here if you need assistance with setup or troubleshooting.
How much does it cost?
Automations is for free and unlimited on all plans. Eventually we’ll begin limiting the amount of automations you can create by plan size.
NOTE: If you're on a legacy plan you'll need to upgrade to a current plan to begin using Automations. See plans and pricing.
What’s Next?
We have a handful of premade automations in place right now for Slack, ClickUp, Asana, Google Drive and Dropbox.
Over the next little while, we’ll be rolling out new automations, templates, and endpoints to deliver more functionality. If there’s an external tool or Proposify endpoint you’d love to see included, let us know.
